The Good Run is helping to support Broward County’s McArthur High School boys basketball team in their mission to compete in an out of state Thanksgiving basketball tournament. TGR is kicking off it’s capacity building campaign by pledging a donation to help with the expenses of the trip to the 2016 Tip Off Classic in Rockford, Illinois on November 21. With help from our supporters and fans of McArthur basketball we can make this trip a life changing experience for the young athletes involved. The Mustangs join a competitive field of teams, all from the Midwestern part of the US, to test their mettle and experience a Chicago brand of basketball.
New to the field, and a great get for the tournament, is McArthur High School from Florida. That is a long trip to make for a tournament, which shows the drawing power of the Classic. McArthur lost last season in their regional finals, but they only graduated 4 players off of that team, and they have several Division I prospects on their roster. They will also have some of the best size in the tournament.
